Tires & TPMS
Underinflated tires hurt handling and raise blowout risk. Check pressures cold against the door-jamb placard, and stop if a tire is flat or damaged.
Common problems
- Cold temperature drop (~1 PSI per 10°F)
- Natural air loss (about 1–2 PSI per month)
- Puncture or slow leak (nail, screw, valve stem)
- TPMS sensor battery failure or system fault
- Rotation or tire work without TPMS reset/relearn
